Roger Redgate
Biography
b. 1958 Bolton. Studied violin, piano, composition and electronic music at the Royal College of Music; also conducting with Edwin Roxburgh. Continued studies with Brian Ferneyhough in Freiburg, Germany, where he was also active as violinist and conductor, and worked with free jazz ensembles. Has worked in the areas of jazz, film/TV music and performance art and is conductor and co-director of Ensemble Exposé. Has written for a variety of chamber ensembles and choruses as well as instrumental duos and solos. Currently Lecturer in composition at Goldsmith’s College, University of London.
